Vern accounts are shared across your team. Add anyone who needs to manage customers, run imports, or configure templates.

Invite a teammate

Go to Settings → Team and click Invite. Enter their email and pick a role. They receive an email containing a one-time invite link. Opening it lets them set their own password and join your account. Once they’re in, they can see your companies, templates, sources, and workbooks — subject to their role.
Invite links expire after 72 hours and can be used once. If one lapses or has already been used, send a fresh invite — the old link can’t be revived. Vern never emails a password.

Roles

Two roles. The difference is about account-level control and data leaving Vern — not about who can do day-to-day import work.
role
Everything a Member can do, plus:
  • Invite and remove teammates
  • Manage billing
  • Configure data retention
  • Create and revoke API keys
  • Export data — downloading a sheet or workbook as CSV/ZIP
  • Configure source credentials and API writers
role
Full access to the day-to-day work: open companies, upload files, run imports, review and fix flagged rows, edit templates.Members cannot export data, manage API keys, or configure credentials. Attempting one of those returns a permission error rather than failing silently.
Export is Admin-only deliberately: it materialises a customer’s entire dataset into a file that leaves Vern, so it belongs with billing and API keys rather than with import work. If teammates who used to export now can’t, this is why — make them Admins, or have an Admin run the export.

Remove a teammate

Open their row’s menu and click Remove. Their session ends immediately. Anything they created stays in your account — work isn’t tied to one person.

Next

  • API keys — for programmatic access from your backend.
  • Data retention — control how long workbook data sticks around.
